A different museum maintained by Kolkata Police itself. Old seized arms are being displayed here. Apart from these Kolkata Police has a well stored library on top floor of museum. Besides this a canteen is there on the same floor. It is situated in ripon street beside Kolkata Police Wireless Branch.

শ্রী চৈতন্যের মিউজিয়ামটি বিরাট বড় ও সুন্দর। এখানে গৌড়ীয় মঠও রয়েছে। স্থানটিতে রয়েছে একটি শ্রী কৃষ্ণের অতি সুন্দর মন্দির। মন্দির চত্বরটি বেশ বড় এবং দৃষ্টিনন্দন। এলাকাটি বেশ সুসজ্জিত ও পরিচ্ছন্ন। আশপাশের পরিবেশও বেশ শান্ত। বছরের বিভিন্ন সময় নানান উৎসবানুষ্ঠান উপলক্ষে এই স্থানে প্রচুর ভক্ত সমাগম চোখে পড়ার মতো।

The museum opens at 10 AM and closes at 5 PM. Cameras are allowed only after paying a fee of INR 50.00. It's huge, so be prepared to spend a lot of time in case you're into history and stuff. :)

5 star for the effort. There is 10 rupees entry fee everyday. Monday is closed. Photography permission has to be obtained separately by paying 50 rupees. The paintings which are done recently are of mediocre quality. However one mural of sutee burning by ashit pal stood out as exceptionally well done.

Small museum in Honor of one of the first receipent of Bharat Ratna.The Bharat Scroll and the medallion is there. When you see the garments which Maulana wore or the leather bag he carried , you are amazed at the simplicity of our leaders who brought freedom to our country
