Did the 2.5 hour ride. The mountains and countryside around udaipur are beautiful but this was not the way to see it. Was bruised from a bad saddle, horses were nervous and skittish on the roads, pace was kept painfully slow by the guides and although the guides made us stop and walk around the villages they gave little insight into the lives of the local farmers other than to point out farm houses and different crops. Wouldn't recommend it, although the longer rides could be more interesting.

It is a good place to stayed at.
Ambiance is very good..
Housekeeping staff is good..
Food is ok when it comes to buffet dinner as it doesn't match with the ala carte quality..
Not arranging for camp fire..
100% payment on chek in and they won't deliver keys until you pay it. We were group of nine families and paid 40% in advanced, when we asked to atleast deliver keys so kids and ladies can settle down and in the meantime we can arrange for remaining payment from all. However they bluntly refused.

A fantastic place to explore the country side on a horse back!
Highlights of my stay: I milked the goat in the morning and joined the kitchen to cook Indian breakfast! During the 3 days and nights at the ranch and over long and fun conversations with Maggie who spends half of her life in India and half as a physician (surgeon/nutritionist) in California, I started to feel at home between the horses, cows, goats, dogs and parrots. The home made food was some of the yummiest and undoubtedly the lightest and healthiest I've had in all of India. Not to mention that it was my cheapest accommodation and food as well.
