Hasan Khan Suri's smaller tomb is at a little distance from his son Sher Shah Suri's magnificent tomb.
Since this mausoleum is built within a garden it is known as Sukha Rauza, whereas Sher Shah's tomb in a lake is called the paani waala rauza.
Designed by the architect Aliwal Khan between 1540-45, this octagonal grey sandstone tomb is topped by an impressive dome surrounded by ornamental domed kiosks.
A single-storey verandah with three arched openings in each side, surrounds the tomb.
The walled garden has a monumental doorway.
The tomb of Isa Khan, a noble of Sher Shah Suri, in the Humayun’s tomb complex in Delhi is similar in design.
